2022 Mercedes-AMG A 35 Sedan – This Mercedes-AMG A35 leaves the brand’s lineup in the United States for the 2022 model year. It joined the American lineup in 2020. Before it was canceled in that market moderately-speedy four-door model was the cheapest AMG vehicle in the US. “The A35 will not be offered in the US market for MY22,” Mercedes-Benz spokesperson Ashley Gillam told Car Buzz. The company didn’t provide any reason to remove this model from the A-Class line-up. Mercedes has already taken it the A35 from its configurator online.

The A35 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 302 horsepower (225 Kilowatts) and 295 pounds (400 Newton meters) in torque. The gearbox is seven-speed dual-clutch and routes this power into an all-wheel drive system. The time it takes to accelerate to 60 miles an hour (96 kilometers per hour) in 4.6 seconds. There’s still a four-door compact vehicle that has this engine available within Mercedes’ American lineup, and that model is called the CLA 35. Although the company hasn’t said any specifics about the model, it’s possible that the resemblance between these two vehicles could be a factor in the removal of the A35 from the market. To add more power to the line it is the CLA 45 offers 382 hp (285 kW).
The lower versions from the A-Class Sedan are still available in the US. The base model is A 220 that uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces the power of 188 horsepower (140 horsepower) as well as 221 pounds of torque (300 Nm). A dual-clutch seven-speed gearbox delivers all the energy to the front wheel. It’s the A 220 4Matic is the same model but with all-wheel drive.
