2022 Kia K8 – Kia is going through a revival that is accompanied by a brand new logo, simplified alphanumeric models’ names, a focus on electrification, and a more outrageous design than before. The first model in production to sport the new logo and a fresh style is the brand new K8 automobile, which is replacing it with the Cadenza within the range. Unfortunately, the K8 will not be available in the US but this doesn’t mean we can’t be awestruck by it.
2022 Kia K8 Review
The car was launched on Tuesday. the K8 is approximately an inch larger than the old Cadenza which was known as”the K7 elsewhere, however, no other dimensions were revealed. Kia is advertising the K8 as both an expensive option and also more of a sporty sedan rather than the Cadenza and is supported with the name change.
The first thing you will notice on the K8 isn’t the brand new Kia emblem, it’s rather the enormous “tiger nose” grille that is just below it. The grille is completely frameless, so it looks like it’s an integrated element of the bumper and has distinct diamond patterns which are echoing in the turn signals with LEDs underneath the headlights. It’s a distinct design, unlike any other Kia that’s currently available. It also looks to be able to be applied to electric vehicles by cutting off certain diamond-shaped elements, and we’re certain this is the intention behind it. Similar to the K5 Like the K5 K8 has a fastback-style but it also has a typical sedan trunk as well, with Kia declaring conventional sedans are now being reinterpreted as fastback passenger vehicles. The sides of the K8 are smooth finished and largely unadorned, and Kia claims that the main character’s design is influenced by “yachts sailing across calm waters.” There’s a bizarre fin-like trim component in the rear window, and a chrome strip on the lower doors rises to join a strip of the quarter panel that flows off the taillights. The most popular part that we love about this K8 can be found in the back end which has an amazing spoiler that resembles a ducktail, which is integrated with the trunk lid, which is above the taillight’s thin horizontal strip. The LED taillights are split into two spears that form a Y-shaped shape. They have jewel-like patterns. Additionally, two chrome exhaust tips are rectangular. The sharp design is appealing, and we are likely to find similar taillights on Kia’s next crossover EV.
The K8’s most intriguing exterior design is the stunning interior. Kia calls it a “detail-oriented lounge,” which seems appropriate since it has a high-end look and evokes the look of modern audio and furniture. A curved display joins two 12-inch screens that are used to display the gauge cluster and one for infotainment, something that is likely to be incorporated into the Kia range of products. The controls for climate are on a touchscreen which can be flipped through various settings, but some knobs can be physically adjusted for the temperature. There’s no volume control, however. The steering wheel is also an original design for Kia as is the gear selection control that is believed to have been taken right from Genesis.
The screen sits on top of an enormous piece of trim made of wood that runs across the dashboard with the diamond pattern in the wood. Curving in front of the LCD and on the doors is a metallic panel with speakers and air vents to the Meridian audio system (a Kia’s first). Wood is also present on the doors as well as the center console, and there are lots of diamond-stitched Napa leather on the interior. Along with ambient lighting on the door trim as well as the center console, the K8 comes with the Kia referred to as Star Cloud lighting, glittery “interactive” lights dotted into the diamond patterns of the dashboard wood as well the door trim in metal.
