2022 Ford Focus Everything We Know So Far!

2022 Ford Focus – Sedans aren’t completely dying across their native United States, never mind the other countries. However, Ford decided to quit this segment of the States and, as a result, the stylish car shown here is not available to American customers. It’s a shame because automobiles with tiny grilles are very uncommon these days.

2022 Ford Focus Review

The changes aren’t too drastic in any way however it’s possible that the 2022 Focus could be a mid-cycle update of the current model. However, these renderings show an attractive lower fascia that borrows heavily from the present Focus ST. If this treatment is a reality for the car remains to be seen however, we do know that an upcoming headlight design change will be coming. The rear rendering shows taillights that have been redesigned and are smaller. The lower fascia is also getting an imagined update, with trapezoid exhaust finishers on both ends. This part of the redesign is a fictitious one since images of the actual car depict camouflaged taillights, but the fascia remains unveiled and is unchanged from the model that is currently on display. The renderings don’t give us any glimpses of the interior however sources say that we can expect a bigger screen for the infotainment system, in addition to other minor adjustments.

2022 Ford Focus Price & Release Date

Can Ford ever introduce the Focus return to the US market? We asked this question one month ago and the response would most likely be no. But then we found out that the EcoSport will be leaving the US market by 2022. That puts Ford in a difficult position of not having low-cost, efficient alternatives to buyers, save for the as-yet not yet tested Maverick pickup. Even so, a base hybrid model starts at around the mid-$20,000 mark and is likely to be difficult to locate in the open.

The EcoSport’s departure means that Ford’s cheapest car that’s not an SUV is the Escape with a price of $25,555, including delivery charges. However, Chevrolet offers Spark, Trailblazer, Trax, Equinox, and Malibu at a lower price. There are also Japanese as well as Korean automakers that provide attractive, affordable cars and hatchbacks, with minimal options that cost around the $20k mark. In truth, if Ford wants to draw the attention of budget-conscious, entry-level car buyers, a basic Focus or Fiesta appears to be almost essential at the moment.
