2022 Chevy Corvette Z51 – In the initial two decades of this engine mid-range Chevy Corvette, owners who chose Z51 Performance Package Z51 Performance Package received a variety of improvements to make the Corvette C8 more track-ready. The improvements include higher-quality tires, updated suspension tuning, more powerful brakes, more cooling capabilities, aeros like decklid spoilers and splitters as well as other oily performance parts.
2022 Chevy Corvette Z51 Review
If you purchased the Corvette C8 equipped with the Z51 package and the High Wing, Chevrolet would offer you the decklid spoiler and Wing. The car would be delivered to the dealers with the spoiler fitted and the wing would be put in place during the inspection prior to delivery (PDI).
However, that’s not an issue for this 2022 model year, at least that’s the message in the video by Rick Corvette Conti above tells us. Around 9 minutes in there’s the 2022 Corvette with an Accelerate Yellow with the decklid missing spoiler, but with holes pre-punched to fit The High Wing. The video suggests that Corvettes bought with the Z51 packages or High Wing won’t come with the spoiler, but there will be holes pre-punched on the trunk lid to allow installing the large wings. This is in addition to other modifications for Corvette’s 2022 model year.
2022 Chevy Corvette Z51 Released
It shouldn’t be an issue since you’re not going to use the spoiler at all. If you’re planning on earning some hundred dollars from making a sale of the spoiler you’ll be disappointed. A quick look on eBay displays the Z51 spoiler is being offered for between $400 and $500. This information is not official If you’re one of those who’re in the same position similar to the person above, you may want to check with your dealer if you’ll be getting the Z51 spoiler in the package.
